The clients purchased this home as a labour of love. The enticing attribute was the architecture with oversized windows, vaulted ceilings, and post & beam construction. The clients wanted the main floor to be opened as much as possible while retaining the large central floor to ceiling fireplace. They requested a second bedroom and bathroom on the main floor as well as the master bedroom. With the home’s original bones being so unique, BBID wanted to keep the architecture as a main design feature. We highlighted the post and beam ceiling by staining the beams dark and then kept the design details as minimal as possible. The result is a stunning high contrast open space with a nod to mid century architecture.
