New House on Old Town Road is a new build designed with modern elements and exquisite details. Wanting a change of scenery, the clients were looking to escape the downtown vibes and embrace rural living. However, they did not want to give up modern amenities but just wanted more space for their horses and family. Furthermore, the client specified that finishing materials had to feel like they could be for the outdoors and nothing was to be delicate. Considering the clients request, a specialty store mason was enlisted to recreate the authentic stone walls in the master suite bathroom. This was challenging as all the plumbing had to be worked into the masonry wall. That being said, all kitchen millwork was handcrafted lime washed rift cut oak. The island counter is a unique soapstone that has all the colors of the local trees – from greens to browns to rusts. Adding more challenge to the interior design, the client was 6’9”. Beyond Beige made every space accommodating for his height. The team used locally sourced material when designing New House on Old Town Road. Furthermore, reclaimed wood was used for the entry ceiling, bedroom and primary bathroom walls. Overall, Beyond Beige brought the outdoors inside, while making the space feel warm. Vancouver Interior Designer, Reisa Pollard has won multiple awards for this luxury interior design. This home was a testament to her and the Beyond Beige teams skills and creative visions. Overall, the client was beyond happy and excited to be in this beautiful New Build.
