The Word on 33rd

The neighbourhood has largely traditional homes, so the architecture needed to blend old with new to create the desired modern aesthetic. We incorporated timeless materials to add character and blend within the exterior surroundings. The floor plan is open throughout the house with a stairwell light that allows natural light to cascade from a huge top floor skylight. The final outcome resulted in a stunning stone wall with handblown glass sconces and floating wood stairs connected to all three floors.
