Royal Dinette Restaurant

Located in Vancouver, BC, the "Royal Dinette Restaurant" is a transformative commercial interior design project that completely reimagines a formerly dark and moody downtown lounge. Tasked with shifting the atmosphere to a light, open diner concept, our Vancouver interior design firm set out to balance the chef’s rural, farm-to-table roots with a sophisticated, downtown dining experience.

The primary architectural challenge was lightening the heavy, existing footprint while intentionally retaining as many base finishings as possible. To resolve this, the extensive dark wood paneling was expertly painted out to create a bright, fresh foundation. Drawing profound inspiration from the chef’s use of home-grown organics, we capitalized on natural elements to infuse the polished space with authentic warmth.

Bespoke surfaces, including the tables and shelving, were meticulously crafted from reclaimed wood, adding a necessary rustic touch to the refined diner aesthetic. Led by top Vancouver interior designer Reisa Pollard, the design is further elevated by strategic hints of green that introduce a vibrant pop of color to the stylish environment. The final result is a pinnacle of commercial interior design in Vancouver—an iconic, bright culinary destination that effortlessly marries rural charm with modern, urban elegance.
