Big Bang on Blenheim

"Big Bang on Blenheim" is a luxury interior design masterpiece in Vancouver, BC, designed for a family transitioning to a home half the size of their previous residence. To retain the seamless livability of their former estate, Beyond Beige Interior Design focused on exceptional storage solutions and high-efficiency zones that do not sacrifice glamour. Inspired by the clients' love for New York townhomes, the design expertly blends historic architectural details, such as oversized ornate crown molding, with sleek, contemporary cabinetry and vibrant, "eye-candy" decor.

The project’s most significant challenge was a back entrance that led directly into the primary kitchen and dining area. To solve this, the team reconfigured the original footprint by reducing the scale of the wok kitchen to integrate essential mudroom features, ensuring the space remained highly functional for a busy family with young children. Led by Reisa Pollard, this project was the winner of the 2020 Georgie Award for Best Interior Design. The final result is a playful, dynamic, and colorful environment that proves downsizing can still be grand and full of pizzazz.
