Located in West Vancouver’s prestigious British Properties, the "Sky High on Stevens Drive" project is a transformative renovation that balances architectural "bones" with a sophisticated, urban soul. Inspired by the love of New York City’s high-end textures and soft palettes, Beyond Beige Interior Design reimagined this detached residence as a sprawling, luxury penthouse.

One of the most critical elements of this renovation was the addition of a secondary kitchen on the main floor. In the current West Vancouver market, this is a high-demand "species" of architectural feature. We strategically integrated this space without disrupting the home's existing footprint, ensuring the flow remained open while providing the utility needed for high-end entertaining and family life.

To achieve the requested "wow" factor, the design team focused on bespoke material applications that define the space: Herringbone Inlay Hardwood. Instead of standard planks, we used custom herringbone inlays to add a sense of movement and craftsmanship to the foundation of the home. Natural Slab Stone: By incorporating full-slab stone throughout the interior, we achieved a "biophilic" effect—seamlessly bringing the organic beauty of the British Properties' landscape indoors.

The final design strikes a perfect chord between a lavish, formal entertaining space and a warm, family-friendly sanctuary. By maximizing natural light and utilizing a "Sky High" design concept, we created a home that feels both elevated and grounded. As a standout in the Vancouver interior design scene, this project perfectly captures a tailored, collaborative vision.
