WEST VANCOUVER, BC
WITH LOVE FROM WEST VAN
The Contemporary Kitchen
As a premier Vancouver interior design firm, we anchored this open-concept home with a contemporary kitchen built for both effortless daily living and elevated entertaining. The design masters tonal contrast: a custom dark metal hood fan and black metal-framed glazed doors draw the eye, while subtle blue-veined stone beautifully juxtaposes a bold, black island countertop. Warmth is introduced through custom rift-cut white oak cabinetry that seamlessly connects to a concealed, compartmentalized prep pantry and mudroom. Finished with a bespoke herringbone glass wine cabinet mirroring the hardwood floors, this architectural space perfectly balances utilitarian function with high-impact, luxury design.
The Primary Bathroom
Moving away from the conventional all-white aesthetic, this immersive primary bathroom showcases the pinnacle of luxury interior design in Vancouver with a rich, moody material palette. The spa-like retreat is grounded by dark, chevron-patterned natural stone mosaic flooring and sweeping large-format slab walls that amplify the architectural scale. To ensure the space feels restorative rather than heavy, these deep tones are juxtaposed with a custom rift-cut oak vanity, refined brass fixtures, and an intentionally asymmetrical wall sconce. Complete with a freestanding tub overlooking a private garden, this thoughtfully zoned sanctuary perfectly balances light, shadow, and organic texture.
The Fireplace Wall
Serving as the definitive architectural anchor of the open-concept main floor, this striking fireplace wall exemplifies the best of interior design in Vancouver. The sculptural, precast concrete surround introduces necessary visual weight and durability without feeling heavy, perfectly complementing the home's airy indoor-outdoor flow. Flanking the hearth, bespoke rift-cut white oak millwork seamlessly conceals everyday clutter and provides a pristine, restrained backdrop for the clients' artwork. By echoing the natural oak across the hardwood flooring and ceiling beams, and framing the space with wide sliding glass doors to the patio, the design creates a composed, inviting focal point that grounds the entire living area.
