Best in Show in the Boulevard

Located in Vancouver, BC, "Best in Show on the Boulevard" is a historic character home that was in dire need of a sophisticated interior design upgrade. With their children now past the "destroy" stage, the clients approached our firm for expert interior design services to breathe new life into the residence. 

To honor the home's heritage, we meticulously preserved the remaining authentic elements, including the existing fireplace surrounds and classic leaded windows. We then masterfully engineered the illusion of originality by introducing brand-new architectural features designed to look as though they had always been there. By integrating intricate coffered ceilings, elegant paneled walls, bespoke built-in millwork cabinetry, and traditional plate rails, we successfully reinstated the property's profound historic charm.

Led by top Vancouver interior designer Reisa Pollard—who relished the opportunity to work with such deep-rooted history—the aesthetic is elevated by curated blue accents that weave a sense of classic elegance throughout the rooms. We also introduced intricate tile detailing in the mudroom and bathrooms to provide necessary texture and pattern without breaking the traditional narrative.

The final result is a pinnacle of restorative luxury interior design in Vancouver—a home so rich in authentic-feeling character that guessing what is original and what is brand new could easily serve as a dinner party game.
