HISTORIC GAS TOWN CONDO

Powell Street

Located in the historic neighborhood of Gas Town, "Powell Street" is a transformative condo renovation defined by its striking blend of industrial details and rustic features. Transitioning from a large house in North Vancouver, the clients sought a drastic lifestyle shift, trading their traditional home for a trendy, urban oasis. They enlisted our team of Vancouver interior designers to completely reimagine the space, seeking a highly functional, edgy retreat in the heart of the city.

To resolve an originally poorly designed and characterless kitchen, we completely overhauled the layout, maximizing both high-end functionality and sophisticated aesthetic appeal. In the main living area, we embraced the loft's industrial heritage by hand-painting a custom vintage sign directly onto the original exposed brick wall. This bespoke architectural detail instantly introduces an edgy, urban energy, brilliantly bringing the vibrant city life indoors while maintaining a highly curated atmosphere.

The bathroom presented significant structural challenges, including a complete lack of natural light and an inability to install a standard floor-mounted tub filler. To overcome this, top Vancouver interior designer Reisa Pollard and the design team engineered a striking ceiling-mounted tub filler and masterfully distracted from the lack of windows by creating a monumental, full mosaic wall inspired by artwork from a local Eastside resident. Anchored by a luxurious freestanding tub, the final result is a pinnacle of luxury interior design in Vancouver—an extraordinary, industrial-chic sanctuary that provides the clients with the ultimate urban makeover.
