Located in Vancouver, BC, "The Word on Thirty Third" is an award-winning new build that masterfully balances contemporary architecture with its established neighborhood context. Tasked with blending historic charm with a modern aesthetic, our team of Vancouver interior designers incorporated timeless materials to infuse the residence with distinct character and diversity. The resulting layout features a highly functional open floor plan, highlighted by an open stairwell that allows natural light to cascade down from a massive top-floor skylight.

A defining architectural anchor of the home is the bespoke wooden geometric fireplace, a striking focal point that has earned multiple awards and recognition across prestigious design publications. To support the family's love of hosting, the open-concept layout extends outward, creating a seamless connection between the main living area and an incredible outdoor dining space. Back inside, the culinary zone was optimized with dual kitchen islands, allowing high-end culinary prep and social entertaining to take place simultaneously.

Led by top Vancouver interior designer Reisa Pollard, every layer of the home was curated to deliver visual impact and sophisticated warmth. We introduced abstract and patterned wallpaper to add flair and dimensional depth to specific zones, while artisanal touches like handblown glass sconces and floating wood stairs elevate the home's transitional spaces. The final outcome is a major accomplishment in custom interiors and designs—a highly livable sanctuary that stands as a true piece of functional art.
