Applause for Arbutus

Located in Vancouver, BC, "Applause for Arbutus" is a dynamic and intricate new build that presented a highly unique architectural challenge: creating two equal, fully functioning living spaces under a single roof. Designed to accommodate twin siblings and their respective families, our Vancouver interior design firm was tasked with crafting a dual-residence layout that prioritized kid-friendly, main-floor living with dedicated upper-level bedroom wings.

Despite the complexity of blending ideas from two distinct households, both families shared a cohesive aesthetic vision. This synergy allowed us to utilize continuous, high-end finishes throughout both sides of the residence, establishing a timeless classic foundation. To maximize spatial efficiency for the growing children, we integrated extensive custom millwork and bespoke built-ins, ensuring the homes remain as functional as they are beautiful. On the exterior, exquisite architectural details were applied to seamlessly complement the property's elegant Georgian design.

Led by top Vancouver interior designer Reisa Pollard, the interior perfectly balances robust family durability with sophisticated designer touches. We introduced vibrant colors, striking patterns, and bold powder room wallpaper to add necessary flair and femininity to the shared aesthetic. The final result is a premier example of luxury interior design in Vancouver—a highly cohesive, lively sanctuary that allows two families to live beautifully and harmoniously under one magnificent roof.
